Explore Kinabalu Park and enjoy its surrounding natural attractions before taking on the challenge to conquer Mt. Kinabalu, the highest peak of South East Asia (4095m) in this 3 day / 2 night summit expedition.

- Location: Kinabalu National Park
Day 1
- Drive 2 hours overland (88 km) through paddy-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu at 5,000ft.
- Short stop at a roadside stall to savour local fruits.
- At Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site, visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden, home to various species of the flowering rhododendrons, carnivorous pitcher plants, orchids, ferns, oak trees and birds.
- Temperature at the park is around 14 - 25° C.
- Overnight at twin bedded room.
Day 2
- Transfer to Timpohon Gate at 1,800m to start 4-6 hours trek with mountain guide to the overnight accommodation.
- Accommodation is dormitory style, with common bathroom and restaurant - Laban Rata at 3,353m.
- Do not forget to look around for some of the flowers and pitcher plants along the trail.
- Temperature is around 5 - 10° C.
Day 3
- Start ascent at 03:00 to reach the 4,095m summit at sunrise around 06:00.
- After photography, return to Park HQ for lunch.
- At 14:30 transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.
