Bond with the local villagers, learn more of the cultural language and discover the refreshing cool mountain temperature at the highest-altitude homestay in Borneo. At an altitude of 1800m above sea level, this small and harmonious village located in Kundasang, Ranau is just a few minutes drive from Kinabalu World Heritage Park and the Kundasang War Memorial. Temperatures can be as low as 15°C during the night. Other attractions surrounding the homestay area are Kundasang Dairy Farm, Mount Kinabalu Golf Club, Nepenthes Garden, Mesilau Nature Park, Borneo Mushroom Garden and Menteki Farm (the largest cabbage farm in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo).

DAY 01: Kota Kinabalu - Mesilau Atamis Homestay 
Drive 2 hours overland (88 km) through paddy-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to Mount Kinabalu foothills. Upon arrival at Mesilau Atamis Homestay, meet for a short briefing and make yourselves comfortable with respective homestay's room. On fine weather, continue with traditional fish catching (mamaralau) plus take a dip at the cool yet refreshing Mesilau River mountain stream, an experience not to be missed.  Dinner will be served with respective host family. (LD)

Note: Welcoming traditional show of the Sumazau Dance and Bamboo Traditional Music play by the local community is applicable for a group of 6 pax and above.

DAY 02: Mesilau Atamis Homestay - Departure
Rise and shine! Have breakfast with your host family then proceed to observe the highland vegetables as well as the strawberry farm (seasonal). If weather permitted, your journey continues with jungle trekking activities followed by a swim in the Mesilau River.  Lunch will be with your host family before we depart back to Kota Kinabalu. (BL)
